Hyundai I30 To Launch in October

Hyundai opening i 30 over its flagship model i 20. We all know what Hyundai is saying about, the much awaited i30 is headed towards the Indian market. The i30 is one of the popular hatchbacks in the country, even though it is not available in the Indian market. The design of the i30 is gorgeous, the sexy lines along with a razor sharp design for the front and rear make the i30 one of the best looking hatchback in its segment.

Earlier the i30 was ruled out, as the market was not matured enough to accept a premium hatchback. As we have said earlier, the customers have moved on. Hyundai recent launches like the Grand i10, Santa Fe and Xcent are bringing lots of volume, which gave the confidence for the company to introduce a new segment in the Indian market. Initially Hyundai will import the i30 as the model becomes popular they will start the assembly at the Chennai plant.

In the global market, the i30 is available in 3 door, 5 door and wagon variant. The model expected to come here is the 5 door version of the i30. The 5 door model is very spacious inside and comes packed with features like all the Hyundai models. The i30 is powered by both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is the 1.6 L GDI unit produces 135 HP of power and 157 NM of torque. The diesel engine is the 1.6 L which produces 128 HP of power and 260 NM of torque.

These engines are mated to 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic with electronic sequential manual mode. The i30 will be one of the fastest hatcbacks in the country for sure. Hyundai has given MacPherson strut suspension at the front and Torsion beam axle at the rear. The dynamics are expected to be really good and much better than the other Hyundai hatchback. Currently the i30 has no competition in India, but if the i30 is successful we can expect hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Golf, Renault Megane. Hyundai i30 will be launched by the end of October.
