Ford launched the new Fiesta facelift in India. The Fiesta facelift comes with exterior changes to make it more attractive than the outgoing model. The new Aston Martin inspired front grill with swept headlamps and the new bumper gives a sporty appeal for the Fiesta. The side remains unchanged except for the new alloy wheel pattern and the rear bumper get slight tweaks which rounds of the exterior changes on the Fiesta facelift.
The interior remains to be the same from the current model. Ford has added the sync system which debuted on the Ecosport. The new system sync with the smart phone which help the driver to make and attend calls using the controls on the steering wheel. Ford has added two India specific apps like the explore by MapMyIndia and ESPN Cricinfo. Ford has packed the Fiesta facelift with safety features like the Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) with Pull-Drift Compensation, driver side airbag and ABS are standard across the variants.
Ford has discontinued some variants compared to the earlier Fiesta as the new model comes in three variants – Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. The Fiesta now comes with only the diesel engine option as the petrol models are not selling well in the Indian market. The diesel engine is the same 1.5 L Duratorq unit produces 91 PS of power and 204 NM of torque. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. Ford Fiesta facelift comes with six color options including two new ones – Golden Bronze and Smoke Grey.
